		<title>2 Failed Goals&#8230; and 1 New Goal to Achieve</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, it is official. I haven&#8217;t lost the weight, so I won&#8217;t be running in Istanbul on the 5th of November. This will make it two goals that I have not achieved for that very same date. Originally, a little over a year ago I had it in my mind to train for an Ironman. After discussing it with a coach, she had said the Florida Ironman is good for beginners. It also is scheduled for Nov. 5th. When I realised I would not be ready for the triathlon, I had modified my goal to run the Istanbul Marathon. I can and have finished a marathon before, but I do not want to do it at my present weight of 100 Kg. A marathon is plenty of work in of itself, I don&#8217;t want to carry 20 extra kilos for 42,2 Km.</p>
<p>I still don&#8217;t plan on giving up though&#8230; I will get my act together&#8230;</p>
<p>My new goal is to run in Antalya, on March 18th. I hope to run the marathon, but there is a half marathon that I can run too. I will wait until the new year to make that decision&#8230;</p>

<p>Ingredients:</p>
<ul>
<li>1 Kg of carrots</li>
<li>10 apricots, seeds removed</li>
<li>4 large nectarines, seeds removed</li>
<li>ice</li>
<li>lemon slices</li>
</ul>
<p>Preparation:</p>
<p>OK here is the hard part&#8230; Juice the carrots, apricots and nectarines together. Serve on ice with the lemon slices. I actually skipped the lemon slices.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d like to say that it is my favorite, but I&#8217;m just getting started with this stuff&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, after a disastous last week, in which there is practically nothing that did not break down and need fixing, including me&#8230; I have decided to submit myself to training for my second marathon. This is my solution to having to fix me of course. Over weight and irrate&#8230; Not a good combination. So, 16 weeks of training and losing weight. Bellow is a copy of the training prog I plan to follow. It is actually the intermediate program on the Runners World Site. I won&#8217;t be running the whole thing though&#8230; more of a run/walk deal for me. I also plan to lose some weight while I&#8217;m at it. Hopefully somewhere between .7 Kg to 1 Kg a week. The low end figure is something I can do for sure, but with the added training I hope to achieve the higher end.</p>
