2 Failed Goals… and 1 New Goal to Achieve

Well, it is official. I haven’t lost the weight, so I won’t be running in Istanbul on the 5th of November. This will make it two goals that I have not achieved for that very same date. Originally, a little over a year ago I had it in my mind to train for an Ironman. After discussing it with a coach, she had said the Florida Ironman is good for beginners. It also is scheduled for Nov. 5th. When I realised I would not be ready for the triathlon, I had modified my goal to run the Istanbul Marathon. I can and have finished a marathon before, but I do not want to do it at my present weight of 100 Kg. A marathon is plenty of work in of itself, I don’t want to carry 20 extra kilos for 42,2 Km.

I still don’t plan on giving up though… I will get my act together…

My new goal is to run in Antalya, on March 18th. I hope to run the marathon, but there is a half marathon that I can run too. I will wait until the new year to make that decision…
